The Gyratory Crusher is one of the most widely used primary crushing machines in large-scale mines, designed to crush hard and oversized rocks. It consists of a large central cone (Mantle) housed within a fixed shell (Concave). The main feature of a gyratory crusher is its high capacity to process large quantities of rock simultaneously. Operating Principle of the Gyratory Crusher

A central shaft moves in a gyratory (oscillatory) manner. The movable cone (Mantle) is mounted on this shaft and rotates inside the fixed cone (Concave). The gyratory motion of the shaft creates a variable gap between the Mantle and Concave.

• When the Mantle approaches the Concave, rocks are compressed and crushed.
• When the Mantle moves away, the crushed material falls downward.

This process enables continuous, uninterrupted crushing, which is one of the main advantages of gyratory crushers over jaw crushers.
